
Her Story
Born and raised in Jamaica, Talsia Jenkins migrated to the United States at the age of 14, carrying with her a deep-rooted passion for resilience, faith, and perseverance. As a dedicated mother, writer, and entrepreneur, she has faced life’s challenges head-on, using her experiences to inspire and uplift others.
Talsia earned her associate’s degree in Health Science and is the founder of Cancer Chicks Live More, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women affected by cancer and encouraging them to live fully despite life’s hardships. Her passion for helping others is evident in both her personal and professional pursuits.
Her book, Pain of My Purpose, is a deeply personal and powerful reflection of her journey—one of struggle, faith, and ultimate triumph. Through raw storytelling and heartfelt wisdom, she shares how pain can be a catalyst for transformation, leading to strength, healing, and purpose. As a mother, she understands the importance of perseverance and hopes to inspire others—especially women and single parents—to embrace their struggles, trust in their path, and find meaning in every challenge they face.
